Frequently asked questions

Why a course in Systems Philosophy ? What philosophy has to do with business in life

Most school imparts knowledge or at-least that's what they claim. In the world of growing complexity, the most pertinent question one needs to ask "How do you know the knowledge imparted to you is knowledge or just pseudo-knowledge or non-sense ?". This question becomes more pertinent because much of knowledge that you apply at work and in life is not what you learnt from school but what you have learnt from disparate sources. So to make the question more generic, "How do you know what you know is knowledge in general?". The general answer we get is that we know what we know is knowledge because that knowledge makes sense to us. If we take that as true answer, we can say every belief everyone holds is true because it makes sense to them. If that was the case, there should not be any existence of pseudo-knowledge and non-sense, but you will agree that believe itself is untrue. So only way to get out this contradiction for you to believe that what you know is knowledge but other know is pseudo-knowledge and non-sense. We are sure you know that's a terrible argument but If you want to live with that belief, we have nothing to teach you. But if you are open to idea that a set of your beliefs can very well be pseudo-knowoledge, non-sense too , then question reamains how to know which of the beleifs are are truely knowledge and which ones are pseudo-knowledge and non-sense. That question belongs to the domain of Philosophy and we hope you understand that more complex the system you deal in more the need of a good philosophy becomes so much more important. Which brings us to second question, with so many philopshies around, how do we know which one is a good philosophy and which ones are bad and why. That's exactly would be covered in Systems Philosophy Course and we make a case that why of all the philosophies developed by humanities the newer Systems Philosophy is not only demarcate the line between knolwedge and pseudo-knowlede, it also allows us to create new knowledge about systems that we deal in so we can redesign, manage, operate so they will deliver the results you want them to deliver.

Because, more the complex the world, more easy it is for others to fool you and and more important more easy it is for one to fool themselves, without any ability to learn from experience, learning a good philosophy should be first order of business and it's more true specially for people we grant positional power to lead us. So believe that every school should first teach Philosophy first before they teach any subjects. We can't control other schools but against all advice of most wise people, SystemsWay, we decided that before we teach you Systems Philosophy. In this course, we will dwelve into good philosopy, bad philisophy and you get to refleect on to your own philosophy with which you make sense of world and we discuss if they are good or bad philosophy. We will then make a case why Systems Philosophy is most suitable Philosophy to lead the world forward in 21st century. We believe this new awareness will enable you to seen the world in a different way or in other word SystemsWay and will enable you not only the systems in which you are embedded in but but also lead yourself as a system towards a fullfilled life.

Why is the Systems Philosophy course is such long course ?

FAQ 2 description

Why Systems Philosophy and not other Philosophy

Of the countless philosophies and epistemological methods that philosophers developed over centuries, which philosophy one shall learn and why? At Systems Way, we focus on Systems Philosophy and all our courses are grounded in Systems Philosophy. But why Systems Philosophy? We make the case that humans are the only spices known to human that designs, manage and operate systems using explanatory knowledge and Systems Philosophy enables people understand ways in which systems works and if learnt executives, professional, technologists can design, manager and operate systems so they can delivery the result they were designed to deliver.

Is SystemsPhilosophy course boring and sdfsd

Is the Systems Philosophical course theoretical ?
Not theoretical in the sense of theoretical physics or theoretical [xyz]. But it's theoretical in the sense that the course allows you to discard wrong theories and embrace newer theories about how systems work. We focus deeply on good theories because Systems Theory teaches that there is no learning from experience unless we have good theories, or in other words, what a person learns from experience is a function of the theories the person holds. So in that sense the course is theoretical and you may not be aware how much we all love creating theories, we just happen to focus on good theories.

Is Systems Philosophy course boring?
The answer, as we know, is 'NO'. Our students find the course very fascinating to the point that many attend this multi-day course twice and there are few who attended more than twice. This is not a standard philosophy course, where they teach history of philosophy and introduce you to work of different philosophers. This is also not about never ending contemplations on topics for which there is no answer. We suggest that you check the materials, case studies, and pre-read, pre-listen, pre-watch materials. Some of them are very hard to consume and digest, but our instructors make them very interesting. As our students say, this is one-of-a-kind course that you probably never experienced, so we suggest not to associate it with the boringness associated with Philosophy courses. We suggest you read our testimonials, review prep work material Course Material Link, or if anything give it a try. We promise it's a course that you probably has never take before.

Is this course applicale to work

This course was originally designed for working professionals and executives. It has direct applicability to work and corporate life, but it's not limited to work because the concept of systems is applicable to everything you do in your life, be that at work or outside of work. We have one mind, and we take it everywhere. Our students have told us how thinking in systems and looking at the world in a systemic way not only changed the way they solve problems at work but also changed how they design life in general. Though it's broadly applicable, all our case studies and discussions are in a corporate setting because that's always more complex than other systems our students deal with.
Because, more the complex the world, more easy it is for others to fool you and and more important more easy it is for one to fool themselves, without any ability to learn from experience, learning a good philosophy should be first order of business and it's more true specially for people we grant positional power to lead us.
